Automobiles in Germany's City Discovered Smeared with Swastikas in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Approximately fifty vehicles have been covered with what seems to be human blood in the German city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, according to police.

Vehicles, walls and mailboxes were defaced, occasionally with swastikas, they stated in a official communication.

Police report they were contacted late on Wednesday night, when a man discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored liquid.

The fluid had been drawn in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Police then discovered multiple other smeared vehicles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under legislation banning the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.

Officials report initial examinations suggest the fluid was most likely human blood.

"There is still no clue as to where it came from; authorities are not yet cognizant of any physical harm in connection with the incident," they commented.

City officials announced they were trying "to solve the case" and have requested to the residents for information.

A senior official stated the attack rendered him without words and required to be addressed quickly.

"This act hits the core of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the far-right violent incident half a decade ago," he wrote on social media, mentioning the killing of nine people by a gunman targeting residents of migrant background in five years prior.
